About Us

Painswick Arts Centre

Painswick Arts Centre was built in 1903 with funding from the Twinnings tea family, to provide community facilities in the centre of Painswick, including meeting rooms, a theatre, a bar, a bowling club and tennis courts.

We were commissioned to add new access between the front to the rear of the building and design a new kitchen, bar, sheltered garden, entrance lobby, box office and links to the bowling hall and tennis club house.

The building is a Grade 2 listed building, so we worked with the client to create a design that modernised the internal features without compromising the historical integrity of the building. Our design embedded exciting new features and facilities, allowed better use of the internal space and created a more energy efficient building.
